China-Australia ties: where to from here?

Australia is increasingly being caught in the middle of political plays as the trade tug-of-war ramps up between China and the US. The country is now faced with the task of potentially needing to choose a side, as its friendship with the US and economic dependence on China is tested. So where does Australia stand on a global level with the re-election of its Coalition government, and will it regret banning Huawei from supplying its 5G networks?
