The Beijing Horticultural Expo marked China Pavilion Day on Thursday, with 950 representatives from China and abroad attending a welcoming ceremony and a performance.

The China Pavilion Day event combined traditional horticultural techniques with modern digital media to illustrate the concepts, achievements, and global influence of China's efforts to protect the environment, Ye Dahua, the curator of the China Pavilion, said during a press conference on June 3.

The China Pavilion covers an area of 23,000 square meters and is one of the four main pavilions at the horticultural expo.

As of June 5, the China Pavilion had received more than 1.4 million visitors, making it one of the most visited pavilions at the expo.

The Beijing Horticultural Expo will run until October 7.
