Track-laying completed for Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway

The entire track-laying construction for the Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway was completed on Wednesday.

The railway is 174 kilometers long, which is an important traffic guarantee measure for the Beijing Winter Olympic Games in 2022.

After completion, the time from Beijing to Zhangjiakou by train will be shortened from three hours to less than one hour, which is of great significance for promoting the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and also connecting the western region.
