Would you like to take a nap in a hotel-like capsule when your flight is delayed?

Passengers sometimes find it exhausting to travel back and forth between the airport and a nearby hotel while tugging heavy luggage. It could also be awkward to find a decent posture when lying on the chairs at the rest area.

Now, capsule hotels are coming to airports in China.

A terminal at the Xiaoshan airport in Hangzhou city, capital of Zhejiang province introduced several capsule hotels that offer services like overnight stay, wifi connection and massage.

Staff at the airport said the intelligent air purification system helps ventilate the capsule while the removable rooftop helps users to adjust temperatures and allows the passenger to escape in case of an emergency.

Each customer is charged 30 yuan or 4.4 U.S. dollars for a 30-minute stay.

Some travelers at the airport said they'd like to try the new "hotels" if they have to stay overnight at the airport, saying it offers a private space and help them save time. Some also said the cost was reasonable, while others said they preferred to put up with napping on hard seats at the airport's waiting area rather than spend 10 dollars for just an hour's nap.
