The world lightest giant panda, Chenglang, celebrated her 1 month birthday on Thursday at the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base in the city of Chengdu in Sichuan Province.

When Chenglang was born at the panda breeding base, she weighed just 42.8 grams – less than two-thirds the weight of her twin sister Chengfeng, making her the world's lightest panda.

Because of her poor health, she was unable to breastfeed from her mother, so the panda base formed a team of experts to monitor her condition around the clock. The team kept the tiny cub alive by hand-feeding her breast milk from her mother. Thanks to the efforts of the team, Chenglang is able to feed from her mother by herself.

Chenglang is now considered to be in good health, and at 600 grams, she has the weight of a normal panda cub.
