The Fifth Session of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislative body, held a news conference in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Saturday.

NPC spokesperson Fu Ying briefed the media about the preparation work for this year's meeting, and answered questions on China's General Principles of the Civil Law, defense budget, smog control and etc.
