The Dialogue of Emerging Market and Developing Countries was held during the BRICS Xiamen Summit in Xiamen, Fujian Province, on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.

Chinese president Xi Jinping chairs the dialogue. Leaders of the five BRICS nations, along with their fellow heads of the BRICS Plus nations including Egypt, Mexico, Tajikistan, Guinea and Thailand, focused on deepening cooperation and promoting common development, and a statement was released on the outcomes achieved on implementing a sustainable development agenda, promoting South-South cooperation, building partnerships and improving global governance.
