China's top legislator Zhang Dejiang met with Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Wiranto and Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution on Tuesday.

Wiranto and Nasution attended the sixth meeting of the vice-premier-level dialogue and the third meeting of the high-level economic dialogue, respectively, in Beijing on Monday and Tuesday.

China will work with Indonesia to implement the consensus of the two heads of state, strengthen high-level exchanges, synergize development strategies and deepen practical cooperation, Zhang said.

The National People's Congress of China wants to increase exchanges and cooperation with legislative institutions in Indonesia to create a sound law and policy environment for bilateral practical cooperation, he said.

Wiranto and Nasution said Indonesia attaches great importance to relations with China as well as China's influence in international and regional affairs.

Indonesia hopes to deepen political, security and economic partnership with China, the two ministers said.
