China's president keen to advance Germany bilateral ties

China attaches great importance to the development of its relations with Germany and is willing to work with Germany to advance all-round cooperation, Chinese President Xi Jinping said Wednesday.

Xi made the remarks when exchanging congratulatory messages with his German counterpart, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, on the 45th anniversary of the establishment of China-Germany diplomatic relations.

China and Germany are all-round strategic partners, Xi said. Over the past 45 years, their relations have witnessed rapid progress, their cooperation has expanded in breadth and depth, and the two peoples have got to know each other and their friendship has deepened, he added.

In his congratulatory message, Steinmeier said Germany-China relationship is dynamic and it has become ever-closer all-round strategic partnership with an eye to long-term development.

Germany is willing to work with China to deepen and expand the mutually beneficial and win-win cooperative partnership, he said.
