Chinese premier sends congratulations to Sao Tome and Principe's new PM

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Monday congratulated Jorge Bom Jesus on assuming office as Prime Minister of Sao Tome and Principe.

In his congratulatory message, Li said since China and Sao Tome and Principe resumed diplomatic ties, bilateral relations have seen rapid development with deepening mutual political trust and expanding cooperation in various fields, which has brought benefits to the people of the two countries.

China is willing to work with Sao Tome and Principe to implement the results of the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and promote the development of their comprehensive cooperative partnership, he said.
