The 21st China Music Award ceremony was held in Macao's Cotai Arena Thursday night, with over 40 awards being granted to singers.

Chinese singer Jane Zhang was rewarded with the Best Female Singer of the Year in the Chinese mainland. Joey Yung won the Best Female Singer of the Year in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Ronghao Li won the Best Male Singer of the Year in the Chinese mainland. Hacken Lee got the Best Male Singer of the Year in China's Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Chinese singer Sitar Tan got the Most Popular Female Singer in the Chinese mainland. Christine Fan won the Most Popular Female Singer in China's Hong Kong and Taiwan.

The Most Popular Male Singers in the Chinese mainland and in Hong Kong and Taiwan went to Zhang Wei and Gary Cao respectively.

The girls band Twins won two awards, that is, the Best Performance on Stage in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and the Best Band in Asia. Yisa Yu got the Best Performance on Stage in the Chinese mainland.

Chinese singer Wei Yunxi won the Best New Star of the Year.

Jeff Chang was honored with a special award at the ceremony for his devotion to the Chinese pop music, while Jackie Chan got the Special Contribution Award for Movie Music. 

The China Music Awards was originally launched in 1994 by Channel V music television networks. It has been held in Macao for six consecutive years.
