Sean Combs tops Forbes' Celebrity 100, Jackie Chan at 39th

US rapper P.Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, has topped Forbes' newly released list of highest-earning entertainers, grossing 130 million US dollars in a 12-month scoring period started from June 2016, according Forbes.

The 47-year-old singer/producer jumps to the top of the list from last year 22nd position on Forbes' annual Celebrity 100 ranking. 

The world's top 100 celebrities on the list have generated incomes worth some 5.15 billion US dollars during the period.

US singer Beyoncé and UK writer J.K Rowling occupied second and third spots, with annual earnings of 105 million and 95 million US dollars respectively.

Rounding out the top ten are rapper Drake (Canada), footballer Christiano Ronaldo (Portugal), musician The Weekend (Canada), radio personality Howard Stern (USA), band Coldplay (UK), author James Patterson (USA), and basketball star LeBron James (USA).

Chinese actor Jackie Chan enjoys the highest ranking among Asian celebrities.

The 63-year-old Kung Fu master sits in the 39th place, by claiming 49 million US dollars in revenue. 

Last year's champion Taylor Swift dropped to the 49th spot, with her earnings dipping to $44 million over the period, which represents a 74% year-on-year decline.

In total, over one-third on Forbes' Celebrity 100 list come from the United States. Around 20% are from Europe, 12% are from Canada and 5% from Asia, with women only accounting for 16% of list.
