About 36 artworks, as new symbols of the development of Chinese contemporary art throughout 2016, are now on display in the Minsheng Art Museum in Beijing.

These artworks include appreciative or research-oriented video installations, realistic paintings and photography art.

The Exhibition of Annual of Contemporary Art of China selects the pieces of art, from around 3,700 contemporary art exhibitions or similar contemporary art activities that took place in China in 2016.

The exhibition reveals that contemporary art in China during 2016 has continuously presented two tendencies towards the emergence of new technology. One tendency is to absorb the new images and forms generated by new technology; the other is to consider technology as a new way of presentation and expression.

It will run until August 3rd.
