A new series of political documentary on China's reform efforts is set to be aired tonight on CCTV and other internet platforms.

The ten episode feature named "Jiang Gaige Jinxing Daodi," or carrying the reform through to the end focuses on the changes brought by a series of comprehensive reforms in recent years.

The reforms cover various aspects including social, economic, political, cultural, and party-building systems in order to address long-term reform issues.

It features authoritative theoretical discussions on the reform, as well as reform examples from the grassroots.

Two episodes from the documentary are focusing on China's massive military reform, which trimmed 300-throusand troops, leaving 2 million total, in a bid to build a tight but strong army.

The reform themed episodes are highly anticipated by the public, with 16 million views on the Weibo promotional page.

With the 19th CPC National Congress scheduled for the second half of 2017, the documentary is expected to inspire CPC members and the Chinese people.
It will also be available on the state broadcaster's new media platform.
