Singaporean singer and songwriter Tanya Chua has recently signed on with the Universal Music Record Company, hoping the company will help her kick off a new start for her exploration in the world of music.

Tanya Chua has composed songs for many heavyweight singers, including pop diva Faye Wong, Eason Chan, Na Ying and Stefanie Sun.

In 1999, Chua signed a recording deal with PolyGram, which was acquired by Universal Music Group a year later.

The company helped the singer release her first self-titled Chinese album.
