"Secrets of China's Forbidden City" details the construction and architecture of the now-Palace Museum, which was built some 600 years ago.
The biggest wooden structure on Earth, the Forbidden City was made with only rudimentary tools available at the time.
The BBC documentary focuses on how the wood was transported to Beijing from far-flung regions of China to make the Forbidden City.
It also discusses how the structure has been able to survive through the years.
"Secrets of China's Forbidden City" is a co-production between the China Intercontinental Communication Center and the BBC.
