French Christmas Comedy 'Santa & Cie' Set for Release in China Friday

A French fantasy-filled Christmas comedy "Santa & Cie" will be getting a wide release in China this Friday, ahead of Christmas Day.

French producer-actor Alain Chabat, who is both the director and lead actor in the film, was recently in Beijing to promote the movie. He shared some interesting behind-the-scene stories and also added he is quite fascinated by the Chinese culture.

Alain Chabat costars with model-actress Audrey Tautou, who appeared in "The Da Vinci Code." In "Santa & Cie," she plays Wanda Claus.

"Santa & Cie" will mark the second French-language film to be released in China this year, following Dany Boon's "Raid Dingue."

The Chinese voiceover was done by comedy director Jiao-shou-yi-xiao-xing (叫兽易小星).
