Famous Chinese pop singer Mao Buyi is now busy preparing for his first-ever solo concert in Shanghai next month.

The concert organizers recently announced that all tickets for Mao's September 22nd concert have sold.

The singer began gaining recognition in 2017 after he won the national championship of Future Star, a talent show run by Tencent Video.

Mao Buyi has been promoting his upcoming concert.

"Stage designs vary accordingly for each song. It may give audiences a different feel from what they've heard before. I hope audiences may well immerse themselves into the emotional circumstances of these songs."

After Shanghai, the singer is scheduled to hold concerts in Beijing and Chengdu.

In May, Mao also released his debut album Perfect Day. The album, produced by veteran singer-songwriter Li Jian and songwriter Zhao Zhao, features six songs, which are based on what Mao Buyi performed during the reality show as well as six new ones he wrote himself.
