The 2018 BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards, which celebrates inspirational teenagers from across the U.K., was held on Sunday in London. Little Mix took home the Best British group.

5 Seconds of Summer was one of the show's featured performers. Member Calum Hood commented on the advantage of being a little older when talking about the success of the band's latest album and sold-out tour.

"Yeah, it's been really cool actually having this album doing like the success of it and doing so well that you're actually in your 20s and can realize it as opposed to back then. I look back - obviously we know what's going on, but you know, just kind of a little bit naive and a little bit confused and I think it's nice to have a bit more, I don't know, control over your own life when you're doing this kind of thing".

Ed Sheeran won the Best British Solo Artist award and Shawn Mendes won the Best International Solo Artist award.
