Snoop Dogg receives the 2,651st star on the Walk of Fame

Snoop Dogg thanked himself for the achievements that earned him a star on Hollywood Boulevard.

Monday, the rapper-turned-entrepreneur received the 2,651st star on the Walk of Fame.

"I want to thank me, I want to thank me for believing in me. I want to thank me for doing all this hard work. I want to thank me for having no days off. I want to thank me for never quitting. I want to thank me for just being me at all times."

The unveiling attracted a blast of fans and big-name stars, including recording artists Pharrell and Warren G, TV presenter Jimmy Kimmel, and record producers Quincy Jones and Dr. Dre.

"Snoop was always there for me, ready to work and constantly motivating and pushing me and making me believe I could do it, I mean, I could always hear his voice in my head, 'C'mon, Dr. Dre, 'cause, you could do this. You just gotta keep it gangsta,'" said Dre.

At ceremony's end, the 47-year-old Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr, gave wife Shante Broad a long kiss.
