26 new titles from various live-theater broadcasting projects from London, Moscow and Broadway will come to China early next year, including the world-famous "Les Misérables in Concert: The 25th Anniversary".
Seen by over 57-million people in 42 countries and 21 languages, "Les Misérables" is one of the world's most popular musicals. In celebration of its 25th anniversary, a reunion of the cast of the original production at the Queen's Theatre and the cast of a new 25th anniversary production team will present this show together.
Other titles include William Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra, Arthur Miller's The Crucible, and Romeo and Juliet starring Orlando Bloom.
In 2009, the Royal National Theatre in London started its NT Live initiative, which broadcasts high-definition live performances of their productions to cinemas and arts venues around the world. The new form soon became a hit among theater lovers.
The project was officially introduced to China in 2015.
