Thousands of fans gathered to celebrate the star's return to performing music on stage after an eight year hiatus.
It was the 57-year-old star's first performance since his horse-riding accident in Thailand in January 2017, when he suffered injuries to his lower back and pelvis after being thrown off a horse during a commercial shoot. It took the star six months to recover from the accident.
Lau has been in show business since 1981 and is one of Hong Kong and Asia's most beloved celebrities.

"I experienced a lot this year. I was careless last year, making you guys worry about me. I am nervous today because I have never done such large amount of exercise and spent that much energy before. Before I am exhausted, I'd like to thank all of you prudently, seriously, sincerely."
