Marie Claire Style China Awards in Beijing

A gala showing the latest innovations from top fashion brands worldwide has attracted numerous Chinese pop stars to the red carpet in Beijing.

Andrea DeVos is the daughter of Betsy DeVos, current United States Secretary of Education.

Her ARTISTRY STUDIO is the sponsor of the Marie Claire Style China gala.

Speaking ahead of the event, Devos says fashion is no longer the exclusive preserve of designers and entrepreneurs of any single nation.

"Everything is so interconnected these days, that, you know, nothing is super regional anymore. Everything becomes a little bit more globalized. And you can pick and choose pieces from every culture that fits into your life. So I think that's really cool and exciting."

Fashion magazine Marie Claire launched the Style China gala back in 2008.

Leading global brands including Dior, Giorgio Armani, Louis Vuitton and Fendi were represented.
