At the premiere of critically acclaimed horror thriller "Us," director Jordan Peele spoke about the similarities between horror and comedy.

Peele, known for sketch comedy on "Key and Peele" before winning an Oscar for "Get Out," sees the two genres as "very close."

"It feels very similar to me. You know, it's basically, it's about what makes the cut. What style of moment, you know, what tone you can sort of clip in there. So, if it gets too goofy, you can sort of just take it away, strip it away, because we're doing a horror movie and it has to be grounded".
