Adam Brody talks playing in wife's sitcom 'Single Parents'

Adam Brody will return to his wife Leighton Meester's sitcom "Single Parents" this fall as her ex-husband.

He appeared in the season one finale of the show and will be back for the season two premiere.

"It's perfect. It's exactly what I'd want," he said. "I get to work with her. I get to be the father of her child but I'm also an idiot. I just want to be a character. I don't want to go in there and be like a straight man, romantic guy. I want to be a dummy".

Brody and Meester have been married for five years and have a three-year-old daughter.
