Chinese romance film 'The Enigma of Arrival' is scheduled to open in Chinese cinemas on Valentine's Day next year.

The film premiered at the 23rd Busan International Film Festival.

It marks Chinese actor Li Xian's first starring role in a movie.

Li portrays Xiao Long, one of four troublesome boys, who falls in love with a girl that later goes missing.

He shared his thoughts on his character in a newly-released trailer.

"Xiao Long is a reasonable guy. Sometimes he will blame others for doing something unreasonable. An interesting thing about this character is he's a fish vendor at one point. So to step into this role, I had to practice slaughtering forty fish or so per day."

Li Xian became widely recognized after starring in a number of hit Chinese television series, winning the hearts of many across the country.

Written and directed by Song Wen, the film also boasts Chinese renowned veteran director Xie Fei as its executive producer.
