Li and Wang snatched the winning points of 323.70 in five rounds. British duo of Grace Reid and Thomas Daley took the silver at 308.04. Jennifer Abel and Francois Imbeau-Dulac of Canada were positioned third at 297.72.

Ranked third after the first two dives, the Chinese duo took on 71.10 points in the third attempt to climb to the top, before maintaining their position to the title.

For the 17-year-old Li, the maiden World Championships journey was not quite different from other tournaments where he participated.

"Maybe there are more crowds, and the light is more spectacular here at the worlds," he said with smile.

With Li and Wang's triumph, the Chinese diving team, nicknamed "Dream Team" for their dominant play in world's major tournaments, have been crowned in 8 of 12 events in the Hungarian capital.

The last event of diving at the worlds will be Men's 10m Platform final, featuring Olympic champion Chen Aisen and Yang Jian.

Chen ranked third in Friday's semifinal among 18 divers, while Yang just crossed the final threshold with his 11th position.
