The ongoing 13th Chinese National Games in the coastal city of Tianjin saw 32 events completed on Sunday - the 7th day of competition - including 13 from athletics and five from the swimming pool.

Li Bingjie, who set an Asian record in the women's 400m freestyle two days ago, did it again in the 1,500m free.

The teenage sensation, representing Hebei province, broke the long distance course's Asian mark in 15 minutes 52.87 seconds.

Li's new record would have ranked her in third place after Katie Ledecky of the United States and Mireia Belmonte of Spain at the FINA World Championships in Budapest in July.
