Shandong Luneng won their home opener over Beijing Guoan 3-0 with a Diego Tardelli's double in the first round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) new season in Jinan on Sunday evening.

The home side broke the deadlock on the 29th minute from a corner kick when Tardelli finished off a series of ricochets by placing a snooker shot into the net.

Tardelli quickly added another two minutes later as Guoan were poor in passing. When Luneng won back the possession, Tardelli cut inside and curled a missile into the far top corner.

Guoan were one man down on the stroke of half-time as Jin Pengxiang got his second yellow card for his awful tackle on Jin Jingdao.

Guoan made changes after the break, introducing Wei Shihao for Yu Dabao. But the U23 player was quickly booked for nudging.

The home side sealed the match on 85th minute as Graziano Pelle rolled across from the right flank in the box, before unmarked Wu Xinghan tapped it in from the back post.
