China clinched men's team event title at gymnastics worlds

Team China finished top of the rankings in the men's team event at the world gymnastics championships held in Doha, Qatar.

China, led by Lin Chaopan, Sun Wei and Deng Shudi, won the final narrowly over Russia with a lead of only 0.049 points.

Japan finished in third place.

In the women's competition, Team USA clinched the team title with a big margin over second placed Russia.

China finished third.

The three medal-winning teams in both men's and women's team final clinch berths to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
