Since its launch in 2011, WeChat has become the most popular social media platform in China. WeChat averages around 963 million users per month.

In adding it to its social media collection, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London says Wechat is a fine example of a social application platform, and reflects the changes in how we as humanity communicate.

Visitors to the Museum can experience WeChat from its current status back to its formation, including its gif designs.
