Brazil Bank staff to enjoy four-hour work day during World Cup
Business hours at Brazil's banks will be shortened to four hours a day during the World Cup, according to an announcement by the country's central bank on Wednesday.

The announcement said that banks are also allowed to be flexible about their business hours during the World Cup, which means they are allowed to close their business during the day if there is a game on, and reopen later in the day.
The central bank stressed that if a bank chose to apply this flexible approach to their business hours, they should give their customers two days advance notice.
This is not the first time Brazil's central bank has changed bank business hours because of the World Cup. It first granted this type of flexible business hour arrangement in 2006.
