Man arrested after car crashes outside British Parliament

A man was arrested after a vehicle crashed into security barriers outside Britain's Houses of Parliament Tuesday morning, injuring "a number of pedestrians," local police said.

At 7:37 a.m. local time (0637 GMT), a car collided with barriers outside the Houses of Parliament, and the driver of the vehicle was detained by officers at the scene, according to Britain's Metropolitan Police.

Officers remain at the scene, police said. "We will issue further info when we have it."
