8.3-magnitude quake hits Fiji islands: CENC

A 8.3-magnitude earthquake hit areas near the Fiji islands at 8:19 a.m. Sunday, according to a preliminary measurement of the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at about 18.12 degrees south latitude and 178.06 degrees west longitude, the center said in a statement.
