The prime minister says that the friendship of the two countries is based on what has been said, and what has been done.

"China is a very large country that has always stood by Africa. China is not being a friend only by word of mouth, it is being a friend through actions, actions that push us to go from the situation of being undeveloped to the situation of being developed."

Since the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between Lesotho and China in 1994, the two countries have been promoting cooperation in different areas. Thabane says China has provided good lessons for other developing countries.

Taking full advantage of implementing the outcomes of FOCAC, Lesotho has many projects, supported by China, completed or ongoing in the country.

"FOCAC is a successful implementing of the following projects: Butha-Buthe industrial park, Manthabiseng National Convention Centre, State Library, construction of the new Parliament building, construction of the new State House, construction of the China-Africa friendship school, soon to be constructed the Maseru District Hospital and Eye Clinic."

The PM also expressed his appreciation for the upcoming FOCAC Beijing Summit.

"This summit is one landmark again in the world, who want to improve itself for the sake of survival of human race."

In March, a Chinese FOCAC research delegation visited Lesotho to study China-Lesotho and China-Africa cooperation and prepare for the Beijing Summit.

Thabane will preside over the investment forum in Beijing. A number of entrepreneurs from Lesotho will be included in his delegation.
