A male Amur tiger had its first health checks at the ZSL Whipsnade Zoo in the UK after it was born on June 23, 2018. Vets checked the cub's eyes, ears and teeth, and gave it routine vaccinations.

Amur tigers are classified as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. There are currently an estimated 500 Amur tigers left in the wild.
