500多件鳄鱼制品被查获 Over 500 illegal Siamese crocodile products were seized

Border police(警察) in China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region seized over(超过) 500 illegal(非法的) Siamese crocodile(鳄鱼) products(产品) recently.
广西防城警察在日前查获500多件非法鳄鱼制品。

Siamese crocodiles are a critically(严重地) endangered(濒危的) species(物种) native to Southeast Asia, and in China, it is illegal to trade(交易), traffic(运输), or raise(养殖) them without(没有) a license(许可).

Siamese crocodile skin(皮) is used as a raw material(原材料) for luxury(奢侈的) leather products on the international(国际的) market(市场). This collection of products were detected in a logistics vehicle attempting to cross the China-Vietnam border in early March.

After noticing the strange placement(安置) of goods in the vehicle the police uncovered 370 pieces of crocodile skin, 90 tails(尾巴) and 77 specimens(标本).
