chú hé rì dāng wǔ
锄禾日当午
'Neath the midday sun he hoes his crops

hàn dī hé xià tǔ
汗滴禾下土
Sweat moistens the soil between the stalks 

shuí zhī pán zhōng cān
谁知盘中餐
Of food on the table who recalls

lì lì jiē xīn kǔ
粒粒皆辛苦
Each grain produced through bitter toil

【简析 Analysis 】

禾:禾苗(crops)。
日当午:太阳当头直晒的时候,指中午(noon)。
餐:饭(meal)。
皆:都是(all)。

这首悯农诗,写出了农民劳动的艰辛和对浪费粮食的愤慨。

在盛夏的正午,农民顶着火辣辣的太阳锄地,汗水滴在庄稼地里。可是谁又知道,碗中的每一粒饭都包含着农民的辛苦啊!
