中国解放军震撼军演 PLA's 90th birthday Grand Military Parade Highlights

The Chinese army, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), was founded(成立) on August 1st, 1927. To celebrate(庆祝) its 90th birthday, China held a military parade(阅兵) in Zhurihe, Inner Mongolia on Sunday. This is the first(第一) military parade ever held to mark the founding of the PLA.

Chinese President Xi Jinping inspected(检阅) the troops(部队) and delivered(发表) an important(重要) speech(讲话). 12,000 troops, more than 100 aircraft(飞机) and 500 pieces of grand equipment(装备) rallied at Zhurihe for the parade. 40 percent of these armaments were on display(展示) to the public(公众) for the first time.
