点缀地球的珠宝——青海翡翠湖 Emerald Lake looks like jewels dotting the earth.

The salt lake is located(位于) at an altitude(海拔高度) of 3,000 meters on a plateau(高原), in the northwest of Da Qaidam(大柴旦), Qinghai Province. It was formed by many years of mining(开采), with a high concentration(浓度) of salt, called brine(卤水). It was named Emerald(翡翠) Lake because of its different and beautiful colors.

这个盐湖位于青海省大柴旦西北处海拔3000米高的平原上,因历经多年的盐湖开采而形成的构成。盐池中的高浓度盐水被称之为卤水,而翡翠湖这个名字的由来是源于它与众不同的迷人的颜色。
