涨见识：不停、没有门的电梯 Meet the non-stop elevator

Take a look at the last(最后) remaining(剩余的) non-stop elevators, the paternoster elevator. 

The paternoster elevator, which works on a circuit(巡回) and never(从不) stops(停止) moving(运动), is rarely(很少) seen(见到) these days. The invention(发明) of the paternoster dated to the 19th century in the UK when it was thought to can deliver(运送) more people without(不用) as a long of a wait(等待). But they could also be very dangerous(危险的) if they don't have an emergency(紧急) shut(停止) off triggered(引发) by an obstruction(阻碍). 

Now only a handful still operate(运行) in Central and Eastern Europe. In the Czech Republic, they are mainly used by staff in government buildings with a few open to the public. There are also as many 200 of them still in use(使用) in the Germany and a few remain in the UK.
