一穿山甲被解救 A one-meter-long pangolin was rescued in Shandong

The wildlife rescue(救助) association(协会) in Qingdao, Shandong Province received(收到) a one-meter-long female pangolin on Sep. 14, rescued by a local citizen. The pangolin now is in good(良好) health(健康), and is ready to be released(释放) back into the wild(野外) in southern China.

Pangolins are listed as national protected(保护) animal. It has been identified(认为) as the most trafficked(非法贩卖) endangered animal in the world, and listed as a highly endangered(濒危的) species(物种) by International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
