全球最长最快列车开跑 World's longest high-speed train now in service

A new, longer(更长的) Fuxing bullet train started running on the Beijing-Shanghai line on Sunday. Fuxing(复兴) means rejuvenation in English.

With a designed speed(速度) of 350 kilometers per hour, the new train is more than 400 meters long with 16 carriages(车厢), twice(两倍) as many as the current(当前的) Fuxing. It has 1,193 seats(座位).

Zhao Hongwei, chief engineer(工程师) with the China Academy of Railway Sciences, said that the longer train is more efficient(有效的) and has better performance(表现).

Designed and manufactured in China, the Fuxing -- Rejuvenation -- debuted on the Beijing-Shanghai line in June 2017. The trains are more spacious(宽敞) and reliable(可靠) with a longer service life than previous(先前的) models.
