中老铁路主体桥梁完工 Foundation of major bridge along China-Laos railway completed

The China-Laos railway(铁路) is expected to be fully operational in December 2021.

The Ganlanba Bridge(橄榄坝特大桥) is 3.5 km long and has 108 supporting columns(桥墩). It is on the China side of the railway in Jinghong city, Yunnan province. The last(最后的) supporting column of the Ganlanba railway bridge has been installed(安装). It is the final part of the foundation(基础) construction(建设) work(工作) for this major(主要的) bridge along the China-Laos railway.

Constuction on the railway started in December 2016.
