中国人民解放军庆祝建军91周年 PLA celebrates 91st anniversary amid reforms

The People's Liberation Army is marking the 91st anniversary of its founding(成立) on August 1, 2018. 

This year's anniversary comes amid continued national reforms(改革) under the leadership of Xi Jinping, who heads the CPC Central Committee and the Central Military Commission.

The reforms still underway include adjustments(调整) to the PLA's Ground Forces(陆军), Navy(海军), Air Force(空军), Rocket Force(火箭军), Armed Police(武警部队) and Logistic force(战略支援部队).

Among the recent changes(改变) include the divestment of the military from for-profit ventures(停止军队有偿服务).
