中国当代织锦、刺绣艺术展在北京开幕 Chinese brocade, embroidery exhibition opens in Beijing

A Chinese contemporary brocade(织锦) and embroidery(刺绣) art(艺术) exhibition(展览) opened(开幕) in Beijing on last Tuesday. Over 200 pieces(件) of delicate hand-weaving works(作品) collected from across the country are on display(展示) at the exhibition, which runs till October 7. The pieces of art, which showcases the nation's ancient silk artistry dating back thousands of years, were collected by 60 artists(艺术家) and heirs(传承人) of China's national intangible cultural heritage(非物质文化遗产).
