日本生产出超逼真人脸面具 Super realistic masks made in Japan to accurately replicate human face

These super-realistic face masks(面具 miànjù), made by a small company in rural Japan, are in huge(巨大的 jùdà de) demand(需求 xūqiú) from domestic tech(科技 kējì) and entertainment(娱乐 yúlè) industries to countries as far away as Saudi Arabia.

The 300,000-yen (2,650 US dollars) mask is made of resin(树脂 shùzhī) and plastic(塑料 sùliào), in an attempt to accurately duplicate(复制 fùzhì) an individual's face down to fine wrinkles(细小的皱纹 xìxiǎo de zhòuwén) and skin texture(皮肤纹理 pífū wénlǐ).

The company, based in the western prefecture of Shiga, receives about 100 orders(订单 dìngdān) every year from entertainment, automobile, technology and security(安全 ānquán) companies(公司 gōngsī), mainly in Japan.

For example, a Japanese car company ordered(订购 dìnggòu) a mask of a sleeping face to improve(改进 gǎijìn) its facial recognition(识别 shìbié) technology to detect(检测 jiǎncè) if a driver had dozed off(打瞌睡 dǎ kēshuì), Reuters reported.
