第十二课 逛酒吧街 Lesson Twelve: Visiting the Beijing Bar Districts (3)
CRI reporter: Dominic Swire
Dominic: Hey, drinks are here.
Zhang He: 没有,我第一次来这间酒吧。我很喜欢这里。
Zheng Zhi: 我也很喜欢这里。我觉得这里的气氛很不错。
Xu Fei: 后海有很多像这样的地方。这也是我喜欢来这里的一个原因。
Dominic: OK, let’s now hear some other comments about bars in Beijing.
(Quick comments from other foreign visitors about bars in Beijing)
Dominic: So, 大家还想喝点什么?
Zheng Zhi: 我建议我们再喝一轮白酒吧。
Dominic: Baijiu is literally translated as white alcohol and is one of the strongest drinks known to man. It’s a uniquely Chinese product and it is often found at banquets. Baijiu is normally served in small glasses and drunk downed in one gulp like vodka.
Xu Fei: 说实话我不喜欢白酒。还是给我来杯白葡萄酒吧。
Dominic: Ordering more of anything in Chinese is easy. You just say 再来。If you want another glass of beer for example, the counter is 杯, so you say 再来一杯啤酒, if you want two more beers, 再来两杯啤酒, and so on.
我想去酒吧喝酒。 I’d like to go to a bar for a drink.
你愿意和我一起去吗?Do you want to come?
去后海怎么样?How about going to Houhai?
你知道这儿哪个酒吧比较好吗?Do you know any good bars in this area?
这儿的酒吧都不错。There are many bars over here.
大家想喝点什么?What do you guys want to drink?
我想喝点不含酒精的饮料。I would like something non-alcoholic to drink.
我喝啤酒。I would like a beer.
Dominic: Eurgh! That certainly warms you up inside! Well, I hope that’s given you a taste of bar life in Beijing. It’s certainly given us a strong taste of Baijiu.
Dominic to group: Ok, who wants to continue the party in Sanlitun?
