Located in Taiyuan city in Shanxi province, the historic Taiyuan County was first built in 1375. The ancient county was listed as a national-level historical and cultural block in 2011. [Photo: IC]

The decision to revive the ancient town in Taiyuan County was made by the local government in 2012. To better carry out the restoration in the county, local residents were arranged to move to the other parts of the city. [Photo: IC]
