Londoner restores house to Qing Dynasty glory for wedding

Londoner Edward and his bride Liao Minxin hold a traditional Chinese wedding at a 200-year-old house in Wuyuan County in east China’s Jiangxi Province, on May 5, 2017.Built in the middle of Qing Dynasty it has more than 200 years of history. In order to restore the property to its original glory, the couple spent nearly 10 million yuan (1.45 million USD) hiring famous artists to carry out the restoration work.It was completed in time to form the backdrop to their wedding celebrations, held in the traditional way, complete with ancient Chinese style costumes, impressing the locals and the groom’s family alike.  [Photo: Chinanews.com]
